Document Integrity Verification

This tool calculates the digital fingerprint of electronic documents so you can verify their integrity. Documents issued by the Electronic Office of the University of La Laguna include these digital fingerprints in their receipt vouchers. By comparing the fingerprint calculated here with the one shown in your receipt, you can verify that the document has not been modified.

  • Privacy: Selected files are not uploaded to any server. All calculations are performed in your browser and no data leaves your device.
  • Multiple selection: You can select multiple files at once to verify several documents simultaneously.
  • Algorithms: Over time, the Electronic Office has used different verification algorithms (SHA-1, SHA-256 and SHA-512). The current algorithm is SHA-512, which provides the highest level of security. For recent documents, preferably compare the SHA-512 value.
  • Fingerprint formats: Each digital fingerprint is shown in two formats: Base64 (which appears in the Electronic Office receipts) and HEX (hexadecimal format). To verify your documents, compare the Base64 value with the one shown in your receipt.
